The login screen should keep your email account name recorded indefinitely. You may be able to check each of your email inboxes all the way back to 2005 and hope that you find a registration confirmation email from ANet or NCSoft. But, in all honesty, you should have written something down. ---.
Before the novelties tab was available, I did the Retrospective Runaround achievement and got the Endless Skritt burglar tonic. I deleted the character with it before the adding the novelties tab was available, so the tonic was gone. Redoing the jumping puzzle doesnt give me the tonic again, sincI think our issue was our subject line in the email was different. Either way, I now had an open line of communication with them from the account I could get into. I changed the subject line to what they asked for, sent them the email as requested, and notified them that it was sent. 1hour later, we have access to the account again.
Though if it really was a free2play account with basically no playtime it might as well be ok to just forget about it and make a new account. Just be aware of that with a Steam GW2 account your options to buy anything for GW2 are limited to using your Steam wallet for it. Any non Steam way of buying anything won't work.
